Childhood experiences started me on a path of looking at nature with appreciation and awe. Collecting stones and shells from trips around the world always kept those pleasant memories alive in a special way. Strolls along the beach in Jupiter, FL led me to take some keepsakes and create pieces of jewelry with them. They were much too interesting to leave on a table, in a jar, or on a windowsill - they deserved a new life!
As each token became a necklace, I learned new ways to create jewelry and thus a new path in my life's journey began... and I am still "stepping out of the box". Exploring new mediums, cutting edge techniques, and learning as I grow is an important part of my life. I also enjoy teaching, helping students get to that "aha" moment when they reailize their potential and feel comfortable to explore beyond it.
Each piece of jewelry I create is unique and distinctive, as the design begins to reveal itself as I stat to work with its elements. Beads of all kinds plus other materials one might not consider using for jewelry are part of my artist's pallete.
